PU students present theatre play "Tumhay Mujh Say Mohabbat Hai"
LAHORE: (Saturday, October 18, 2025): Punjab University Natak Performing Arts Society, comprising students from the College of Art and Design, staged a theatre play titled “Tumhay Mujh Say Mohabbat Hai.” The play was written by Prof Dr Ahmad Bilal, and its title, taken from a famous poem by the legendary writer Amjad Islam Amjad, served as a tribute to his timeless poetry. The play revolves around three youngsters, each holding different perceptions about love and poetry. The contrast in their thoughts and actions unfolds into a delightful performance filled with humor, wit, and nostalgia reminiscent of the golden era of classic PTV dramas. Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Ali graced the event as the chief guest. Dean Faculty of Arts and Humanities Prof Dr Mahboob Husain, Dean Faculty of Geosciences Prof Dr Sajid Rasheed, Prof Asrar Chishti, and Prof Shahnawaz Zaidi were also present on the occasion. Addressing the audience, Prof Dr Muhammad Ali appreciated the students’ efforts and highlighted the importance of performing arts and co-curricular activities in developing creativity and confidence among students.
