LAHORE: (Tuesday, April 14, 2026): Punjab University has won first position (Gold Medal) in All Pakistan HEC tug of war (Men) competition while UCP secured 2nd and UMT 3rd position. A total 21 universities submitted entries and 16 teams participated in the event. The HEC competitions are held at Minhaj University Lahore. PU defeated all teams in straight pulls. PU VC Dr Muhammad Ali has termed this achievement as “excellent wins” and congratulated Director Sports Dr Shabbir Sarwar, Team Manager Attique Khan, Coach Malik Imdad and all players of the team. Director Sports Dr Shabbir Sarwar said we have secured this consecutive win while defending our last year’s gold title successfully under the able patronage of Dr Muhammad Ali.
